This is the Android Forum, Everything iPhone can be found here

Apple are much more strict when it comes to using personal hotspots, I think the device need to be jail broken for it to work with any ol' carrier, But alas i don't own an iphone so i can't tell you much

Just to save you some time -- this can be done. I've been doing it since late 2010 on my unlimited internet plan with 3. I've seen that some people don't have the option of turning on 'personal hotspot' but I have it, and it works, and I get unlimited internet. Enjoy ;D

like every phone be it it android or ios it depends on whether your network allows tethering

Happy to help, though three don't like you using their internet through the laptop without paying for it.

The have even blocked some people from using the tether option
