Hey guys , just changed 2 tyres on my sharan today ... And the guy who did this for me noticed that drivers front alloy is slightly cracked at the edge . I have some 16" Audi alloys on and the crack is about 1" / 2" max . Could I get some advice on this here, the guy in the tyre centre told me he could weld it for me charging 50 bucks.. I know another guy charging 30. And really not sure what to do , as I heard that welding is not much of a difference... Cause it weakens the alloy and may crack again.. And also I have to travel 2000 miles with this car in a few weeks. Any advice? Cheers!!
