All OK for me. (I use 10965 but it makes no difference as the tuner will cope with a small error.)

Yes - Channel 5 is on the same satellite/beam as the BBC's and Channel 4.

The dish is picking up some transponders on Astra but not others? The bbc transponder has reception but 10964/10965 transponder has none??

Are you able to get any Horizontal transponders?

Do you have Channel 4? What about BBC3 & 4? What kind of receiver are you using?

I lost CH5 bbc 3 and a few other and it was down to a bad connection on the wall plate.

Went up on roof today and all connections seem fine, same with wall plate. It seems there are two or three horizontal transponders on astra 1N that I can't get but they have a lot of channels I watch you know.

Next step I suppose is to take satellite receiver to a different house to see if those transponders work there.

    Any other advice out there?

Anyone else having trouble receiving Astra 1N horizontal transponders on the Xoro 8530 satellite receiver? I'm still stuck.

Did you take your own advice in your last post & try the receiver on a different dish?

    Thanks for the reply!!

I did. I brought it to a location a good few miles away and used a normal sky dish. I replaced the sky box with the Xoro 8530 and again it couldn't pull in the horizontal transponders from Astra 1N. It's strange because it used to work for the first few weeks after it was installed.

I asked the Xoro company via email because from my poor knowledge of the German language it seems I'm not the only one with this problem from various web posts in German but I got no reply. I was just wondering has anybody else had this problem with the box.

Did you try a factory reset and then an auto scan or maual scan of the channel frequencies? It may be a software glitch. If it is still under warranty then I would be demanding either a software update, a repair, replacement or a refund. Hope that you find a solution to your problem. :)
