PAYE tax refund 2011- misplaced p45s

What is the procedure for claiming a tax refund for 2011 if I have misplaced p45s?

I was employed from January till March in first job,
Took a new job from March till July,
Claimed Job-seekers benefit for 7 weeks, then
Received a Fas training allowance from September until the end of year.

I have misplaced p45 for first job, don't recall receiving one for second job. Can I apply for replacement p45s or is there another way of doing it?
    Thanks

Once a tax year is over, you should not need a P45 to look for a refund of overpaid tax in that year. It should've already been filed with revenue by your former employers.
Easiest thing to do is login to your paye anytime account and if you can see all of 2011s pay and tax details on file, just request a review (p21 balancing statement). That will pick up on any overpayment of tax in that year and refund them automatically.

Thanks for that, I've checked on PAYE anytime and everything is on there. Fingers crossed for a few quid coming my way :-)

Just thought of something, was the 7 weeks of jobseekers benefit showing up in 2011 as its a taxable source of income.

It wasn't showing to begin with but is now after a phone call. Thanks
