    I have been plagued with this modem for the last few months.

    I called eircom a few times and they did some usual stuff like change Wifi Channels etc and nothing seemed to work.

    Called them again today to cancel my contract and they offered me a new, upgraded model of the router which should be here within 2-3 business days.

    Might be worth calling them if you're stuck with the same rubbish modem as me!
