Golf in St Andrews, Kings Barn and Carnoustie

    Looking to play the Old Course St Andrews, Kings Barn and Carnoustie next year. I have done the old Course before through the winter golf package deal but just wondering if anyone has played these three courses as part of a package deal ? If so who was the operator ?

    Dont know bout package deals, but can tell you Carnoustie Championship costs 140 sterling with the only deal i know,being you then have the option to play the Carnoustie Burnside course for 10st, which is a lovely course also!!
    Played there a few weeks ago, stayed in Carnoustie Hotel for 85st per room/per night inc breakfast.(very nice)
    Course is utterly amazing , but be warned it will break your heart, 12 of us played it and some very decent single handicap golfers among us too, and not one of us has managed to break 90.:o

    Ah sure i can imagine it is tough, but sure thats the idea. Play the bes and toughest courses in the world. See what the pro's have to face !
    Looks like i might stay in St Andrews and drive out to the oter courses. They are all close by.

    Did you get the weather ?

    Your right, really shows you how tough the pros have it. Sure even Sergio took 89 shots once!! We got a flat calm day, which makes me tremble at the prospect of playing it in a bit of wind !! Good Luck.
