Hey, I'm based in Skerries and looking for some routes around Louth or Meath or anywhere thats reasonably close (within an 1hr/1.5hr drive). Does anyone have any suggestion?

    a) You can walk along the Boyne from Oldbridge house to Newgrange visitor centre and back. But you'd really need a period of dry weather, otherwise the path gets flooded by the river.
    b) I'd imagine that the Cooley peninsula with all its various walks would easily qualify for the 1/1.5 hour drive max.
    c) A circuit of Howth head is always a good walk.

The Dublin mountains would also come within the 1/1.5 drive max criteria - loads of walks around that area.

The Mournes are within 1.5 hours of you and have some of the best walking on the island.

Slieve Gullion is beside Newry and is reachable in an hour.

Loads to do in the Mournes. Howth head is a great walk, especially if the sun is shining.
