Best original PSP model(s)?

I'm very picky when it comes to some things and the PSP really has me in a pickle.
I used to own a PSP-1000 before I sold it off because I just never played it anymore... Pretty bad decision now because I'm craving it.

However, there are a good few models I can go for now if I fancied getting a new one. But which one is better?

I've noticed the PSP-1000 had ridiculous motion-blur when playing certain games (I had SEGA Megadrive collection and i remember the games being a nightmare to see properly, especially Sonic). But the dilemma is that I've always preferred the bulkiness of that model. But like I said, I'm picky.

But I'm thinking of maybe getting myself another PSP, but I don't know which model to go for. I have a load of UMD games so I don't think I'd want to lean towards the PSP-Go.

    Any suggestions?

Do not touch the PSP Go, it was a failure that even Sony had to admit to and they stopped production while the 3000 carried on. The PSP to get is the 3000, and all the PSP games are going really cheap now, just check around online.

The 2000 and 3000 are identical except the 3000 has a better screen, much richer colours. The 2 and 3000 do feel very fragile compared to the 1000 but they make up for it with better battery life and screen quality. The 1000 was like a brick alright.

Yeah, the 3000 was a good model, "psp brite" it's often called. Some of the later models had motherboards which were less homebrew friendly (though I reckon that's no longer an issue).

Once you use a 2000/3000 you will never go back to the 1000! Plus, from model 2000 onwards the system ram was bumped up to 64mb from 32mb.

I've got a psp 1000 sitting rotting away somewhere. Are they worth anything worth clearing a whole house looking for?
