Holiday in Greece Questions

Hi all,
I'm looking to book a week in Greece for myself and my boyfriend. I've never been to Greece but by all accounts it's pretty amazing. I don't know where to start looking so if anyone could help me out that would be great

When's the best time of year to go and where?
Where would we fly from and to, are there direct flights?
Any rec on apartments, hotels etc
We're looking for somewhere lively but not full of post Leaving Cert partiers

You should look at the islands. Zante is a nice island with both quite and mad resorts. Santorini is lovely but quite. Rhodes is the same. Crete is not the most interesting island but hissonisis is lively but prob full of LC groups.

We went to Athens and home from Santorini (through London) in two weeks hitting Naxos and Ios on the way.

Cant reccomend it enough all were very different but great. (Ios was maybe a bit too full of Austrailian 18-20 year olds)

Hey, just a quick question for you naughtb4. Did you do any of the watersports / scubadiving while you were in Naxos? We're looking to do some diving while we're there so just wondering if it's good. Also is there good nightlife in Naxos? Is there any must do things while you're there?

Sorry man never saw this question. We didnt do any of the watersports wouldnt really be big into that sort of thing, we just relaxed really.

From a nightlife point of view, it wasnt hopping, but certainly wasnt dead. There was a single strip with cocktail bars etc and some fancy establishments. We had Ios next so had been savng our nightlifing for then

Ya we have Ios just before Naxos so I'm sure we won't be short of nights out anyway. Just wanted to know that there would be something to do if we wanted to.

Ios was a disaster for us! ended up too drunk and not fidning anything, apart form a (typical) night in an Irish club

Where else are ye going? Have you your accomdation booked yet

Ya we have everything booked now and all. Staying in Naxos Resort Beach Hotel in Naxos, Aegeon Hotel on Milopatos in Ios and Anthonas Apts. in Imerovigli in Santorini. I think Harmony restaurant in Ios is supposed to be really cool!!

Nice! have a great time, we rented a Quad in Santorini and would def reccomend, great for getting around the island

Perfect...that's exactly what I was thinking of getting, be great to see all the different areas like Kamari and Red Beach.
