Quick question regarding candy cabs

I have a question, might be a bit silly but thought I'd ask just to be safe.

My cab has a switch inside the service door to power it on. I remember with old Jamma cabs, you tend to just plug them in to switch them on. There's no power button.

Reckon it's safe to leave this switch in the on position and power the cab up externally by flicking the on button on the step down?

I reckon so, couldn't imagine seeing an arcade operator walking around in the morning and opening up every cab to power them all up...

Just thought I'd ask what you lads do though!

    No probs.
I have both Cabs on one mains switch and keep both cabs switched in the " on " position, most on A.O. do the same as that question was asked not to long ago .

Is it safe to turn it off directly from the mains then? Think I'll stick to normal way just incase. :)

Ah, it was all going so well and decisive until the end! Unsure what to do now. Reckon I may stick on the safe side and keep powering the cab off by it's internal switch.

Lol sorry if I put the seeds of doubt in your mind. The chaps on AO know more about that stuff than I do, but then again they aren't going to buy me a new cab if something blows up because someone was wrong.

Power on at the wall, flick on the cab switch, flick off the cab switch, power off at the wall is my sequence. The switch on mine is underneath the front of the cab so fairly handy to get to - is your one a pain to get to?

I remember where your switch is alright, I saw Mitch switch it once before the monitor on that Atomiswave suffered vertical screen collapse :D

Mine is just inside the front door where you put your pcbs. It's the red button on the right

With the service door open you can flick it while sitting on a stool - it's just a bit of a pain opening the door all the time. I'd like to keep it permanently locked and only open it when switching games.
