CPU temperature

    Hello again,
First I was playing AVP 2, and everything felt fine.
Then got Alliance Of Valiant Arms from Steam and started playing it. I could hear an increase in fan speed so I checked speedfan.
Before playing the game, CPU temp was room temperature.
Playing AoVA temp is 52c while GPU temp is 47c.

After quitting AoVA temp is now
    CPU 43c
    AUX 45c
    GPU 35c

I know the CPU is receiving billions of instructions per second, and with the GPU in addition. But isn't i5 3570k supposed to be cooler.
I hope this is normal? The whirring fan scares me

That's quite cool, in heavy load situations it can go up to 70C or more, same for the GPU. If you're really worried about low temps you can get an aftermarket CPU cooler.

And by the way, the 3570k runs hotter than the 2500k.

The thought of opening the motherboard again.. lol
At which temp should I worry about overheating?
Should I use speedfan to configure settings?

Worry about overheating for your CPU and GPU at 90C+.

    Playing ARMA2 I'm up at 68-70*C(GPU), you're fine man.

52 degrees is cold I wouldn't even worry about it as its been said here already if you want a quieter CPU fan go for an aftermarket one. But really you shouldn't be worrying!

    Thanks guys.
First "complex" PC I've had. I want it to last a long while if possible.
Now to go and enjoy that game! :pac:

    Hey guys.
Sorry to write on an old thread, but I don't want to create a new thread.
I was running Speedfan I have no idea how I missed this.. but I saw this warning in the log message:

    Win9x:NO 64Bit:YES GiveIO:NO SpeedFan:YES
    I/O properly initialized
    Linked ISA BUS at $0290
    Scanning ISA BUS at $0290...
    SuperIO Chip=Nuvoton NCT6776F
    WARNING: bad Winbond($5CA3,$C1) identify (NCT6776F,W83677HG-I)
NCT6776F (ID=$C1) found (using SuperIO) on ISA at $290
Found SAMSUNG SSD 830 Series on AdvSMART
    Found WDC WD5000AAKX-001CA0 on AdvSMART
Found AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series
    Found Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz
    End of detection

Should I be worried? I have also noticed that at random, the CPU crashes showing the BS. And I have to obv restart. I have tried looking at the logs but for some reason they get deleted - so I have no idea if it is hardware or software problem.
