Phone on Tesco network working in US ?

    Hi ,

    I've a Samsung GT-S3350 - qwerty key pad type phone with Tesco - pay as you go , just wondering will it work in the US ? Am heading over soon , and want to be able to make calls , use the internet ,etc .

    The phone should work. Check the Tesco website to see if they provide service there. But even if they do the cost of internet will be ridiculous. You'll need a local SIM for any value.

    they dont say if they do , but tesco does give the usual price plan for international calls ...

    May be so , but it leaves you pondering as to why they charge for calls even though they dont provide the network

    Will probably only work in some areas as its GSM and a lot of america only has CMDA coverage.

    Almost all of the US has GSM coverage too.

    AT&T and T-Mobile both use GSM with coast-to-coast coverage as do many smaller carriers.

    Yes your Tesco Mobile will work in the US for voice and texts. We don't offer a data roaming service yet. Regards Paul
