Building a new PC: i5 2500k or i5 3570k?

Hey guys, sorry if this post has already been in a fourm before but I am new to Board.ie.
I am thinking about building my 1st PC and would like to ask for a bit of help off you all.
I purely want to build the PC for a full on gaming rig, nothing more and cant decide weather to get an i5 2500k or an i5 3570k?

At the moment I just want to be able to play games such as BF3 at very high - ultra setting.
Dont really care too much about video editing and stuff. I've done a fair bit of research on both processors
and found out that the 2500k is purely for gaming but the 3570k supports PCIE 3.

When I buy my rig, I will probably get the Sapphire Radeon 6870 or 6850 GPU because I'm on a tight €800-900 budget
and will later (in 2-3 years or so) upgrade it to a more powerful GPU.

I was planning on getting either a Asus P8Z77-V LX or Asus P8Z77-V S1155 Intel Z77 Mobo and a 750 watt PSU to power it all.
If any of you could give me some feedback I would really appreciate it.

    Cheers.

If your planning on getting a Z77 MB then go for the 3570K. If money is tight then go for Z68 MB with the 2500k. Both will do want you want.

Yeah I did a bit more research and found out that the XFX ATI Radeon 7770 HD is way better than the 6870 for the same price. Its also pcie 3 so getting the 3570k processor would be better to go with that :)

You seem to be researching in the wrong places, 7770 is way worse than the 6870.

Here's a full rig within your budget, 3570k and a 7870. If you needed to drop of about €80 you could drop to a 7850.

    WD Caviar Blue 500GB SATA 3 6Gb/s|€61.69
    BitFenix Merc Alpha|€31.61
    LG GH24NS bare schwarz|€16.47
    Intel Core i5-3570K Box, LGA1155|€211.70
    ASRock Z77 Extreme4, Sockel 1155, ATX|€128.51
    Super-Flower Amazon 80Plus 650W|€70.50
    Sapphire HD 7870 2GB GDDR5 PCI-Express|€296.21
    Shipping|€18.99

Yeah I dont think I'll be able to get the Radeon HD 7870.. I dont have 300 quid to spend on a graphics card. Also the prices are different here in Ireland. Yeah I dont know why but my friend told me the 7770 was way better than the 6870 and I just went with his word and said it only to be told by everyone else that its not hah.

Yeah I heard the ASRock Z77 Extreme4, Sockel 1155, ATX is a very good Mobo, I might just switch to that and save another 50 quid or spend that on a better GPU.. Hmm..

Cheers for all your help btw guys, really appreciate it :)

That site ships to Ireland. It costs 19 quid to ship to Ireland regardless of how much is in the order.

If you can afford it I would get a 7850 and overclock it.
