Hey guys I have just been accepted into Computer and network maintenance and I have a few questions for anyone who may have done the course before.

Is the course a continual assessment with exams or just continual assessment?

It it attainable with hard work to get the 8 distinctions and go to a Institute of technology?

Is there a Maths course that is available in the college to get a pass in maths for some courses that may require that?

I would like to know how people who have done the course liked it and any tips would be greatly appreciated. :D

It depends on the particular course you are doing, as there are several possible modules that can make up the level 5 computer and network CCNMX award. Which is what I assume you are talking about.

Fetac are not continues assessment courses.

I done CCNMX without maths. If you are a mature student they assess you on your own merit and potential aptitude for the course. If not than they may seek a min level of maths, which can be evaluated by an aptitude test. The method for choosing students varies college to college and teacher to teacher.

I got the 8 distinctions, it was fairly easy but some in the class did struggle. If you have a logical mind and put the effort in , it should be no problem.
Programming is where most people stumble, but it's also the most important if you want to get into an IT comp science course.
