    seems very suspect, upc will usually call you the evening before to confirm the visit and i've always had the engineer call me on the day too.

    i have to say tho, door to door sales people are usually shady as fcuk anyway, maybe the rest of them will calm down a bit if they think there's even a tiny possibility of losing some fingers for telling porkies. :D

    I've always found UPC reliable with dates as to when an engineer will arrive. They call to confirm and usually send a text too, and then the engineer will call not too long before he arrives.

    I'm always wary of door to door salesmen, no matter what they are selling.
