This may have been answered already but I can't track it down. Is anyone aware if there is a TV (LED or LCD, 42" or bigger) which can show both Saorview and FTA without the necessity for extra STBs.

Assuming you mean Saorview and Freesat with full EPGs?

Some Samsung series (e.g ES6300 series) support Freeview HD and Freesat, with the former being mostly compatible with Saorview

Certain Panasonics, though be aware the Panasonic Customer support to ROI customers is patchy based on user reports in the Terrestrial forum.

I think the Samsung Smart TVs have a Saorview (& FreeView) Tuner and Free to Air / FreeSAT tuner in them. At least thats what a salesman told me in one of the shops. I'll let you know when my one arrives in 3 weeks time if its not too late!

EDIT : Beaten to it by a slow refresh button!

Many thanks Apogee and bpmdj. I will be in the market shortly for a new TV and will have a serious look at both the Samsungs and the Panasonics. The only problem I see with the Samsungs from the link included is that it does not seem to be a seamless process whilst this is the case with the modern combi boxes.
