Hi, I have a question regarding flight times since the merger.

I have tracked transatlantic flights several times before. Well I have since the merger noticed that the UA95 flight particularly from Belfast is about 45-60 minutes faster than before the merger. I flew on that flight 2 times and each time it was over 7 hours. Nowadays it has been only 6.5 hours at the most.

    Why is this?
Are they flying the planes faster?

You might call me a liar but honestly that flight used to always take a much longer duration than that.

Jet stream maybe? From looking at the history since February the flights have taken anywhere from 6hrs:10min to 7hrs:45min even part of last month there was a few days in a row over 7hrs.

Mere coincidence. The weather is different at this time of year so it is quicker. They certainly are not flying any faster.
