Long story short - to save I switched insurance two years ago. I'd like to go back to them as my current insurer will once again charge me €40 to change the policy details.

    To save this

A - I need to be sure that Allianz don't charge for policy amendments throughout the year? At least they didn't two years ago... If anyone can verify I'd be grateful.

B - I was wondering if the above works in my favour, is it possible to cancel my current insurer with only 4 or 5 weeks left on it, and start fresh with Allianz again?

Will the current provider still send out my no claims cert?

Many thanks. Collecting my new set of wheels tomoro, so all help appreciated.

You will lose your years no claims bonus if you cancel. As for Allianz charging for change of vehicle, check their website. Also consider obtaining quotes from all Insurers and not just running back to Allianz. There are other companies that don't charge for changes.

Thanks Mugmugs, I'm doing nothing but sifting through all the different online brokers etc to get the right one, but can back off for a while knowing now that I will lose any NCB.

    Thanks.
