faulty electric window switch

    hi all

I have a n 08 golf going in for test next week and am trying to avoid the main stealer at all cost.
The passenger window switch does not work. I can operate it perfectly from the drivers side though. This might have gotten damp when the o/h was smoking out the window during a monsoon yesterday.
    Any thoughts or solutions welcome.
Is this a fail at the NCT?

    Regards

    BR

You'll be fine with the NCT, you only need the driver's window working, all other side windows are not part of the test.

Yep, no issues with this in the test.
Id say the problem is nearly guaranteed to be the switch as they are troublesome enough and considering the window is working from the other side. Switch is a cheap fix anyway. You could try cleaning the inside of the switch but those vw ones are so delicate inside that the contacts tend to wear / burn meaning no choice but to replace.
