Looking for the name of an old show.

    I am looking for the name of an old British show that I saw in the mid to late '90s I think. I was between 10-12 at the time.

    I remember the first episode. It follows a group of characters that are on a train. The train enters a very long tunnel and just as it does an asteroid strikes the Earth. One of the characters on the train has a chemical agent in a case that is released as the train derails in the tunnel, freezing everyone on the coach in a deep sleep to many years. The survivors re-awaken in a post apocalyptic Britian in search of any civilisation still left.

    Any help would be great, I can't find it with google at all.
