French campsite/mobile/chalet newbie advice please

I am new to the whole French campsite thing, but hear secondhand lots of good things about it for kids. Having spent hours surfing I am none the wiser, and it doesn't help that most places are not on Tripadvisor. Can anyone offer advice please.
We are thinking about Bordeaux / La Rochelle coastline, somewhere on/very close to a beach in good quality mobile/chalet style accommodation with two young kids. I really dont know how to choose a place. Suggestions and any experienced traveller tips greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

I have stayed in siblu parks before www.siblu.ie
I prefer the Domaine de Kerlann site in Brittany but have also stayed at Les Pierres Couchees near St Nazaire .....

If you google the names of individual sites you will get lots of info or they also have facebook pages

    Good luck and enjoy!

Was just wondering, did you ferry it or fly! which would be better would it be a long distance from the port or Airport! I'm craving a break away in some sun not even belting hot weather just better than what we are having lately ;)
