    Hi

i sold my car the other night, 2 lads came to look at it, we agreed price & exchanged money/keys, but when it came to the log book i filled out my part then handed it to the buyer & asked him to fill it out.

so then we all started chatting away, they were asking me about directions, then they headed off - but i never got the log book back off them.

sent a email yesterday to motortax.ie but no reply yet.

    any advice?

    thanks

    Call the buyer?

surely you have some sort of contact details for them?

It may not help OP now but this document was sent out with motor-tax renewal PINs or NCT reminders earlier this year.

It might benefit other to know they have a legal obligation, with penalties (not specified here) to ensure that change of ownership information is updated when vehicles are bought or sold.
