    do you use shouts much?

    when putting a player in whatever position you want them in do you play them the way they are best suited?

    Do you have a DLP set as AP or an AP as a BWM

    when i have 2 up front i usually go for a CF/TM and a poacher to work together

    Only tell them they are **** hot if they are a highly professional group or after beating a better team if their morale is low. When morale is high, you need to keep them on their toes otherwise you get complacency.

    Consistency & Big match player attributes are other considerations that need to be high for good runs of form.

    sigh stupid injuries are a balls, i blew pretty much my entire budget in January for a Midfield Beast* after selling Suarez and Coates and using whatever remaining transfer budget i had

    Plays one game gets injured, leg something

    back after 3 weeks and playes 2 games before hurting his lower back in training

    think that was 2-3 months but i got to play him in last few games of the season.

    so handful of appearences since i signed him.

    ffwd to training camp in summer and get note he sustained a fractured skull, 6 weeks to 3 months out.

    ffs

    and this after i had 3 MC out injured at the same time and just before that 3 DR out at the same time.

    Every season so far something like this has happened and its really hurting me. managed to get 4th last season (just) and 3rd this season but was 1st until the injury spell hit.

    Ended up around 15 points or so behind city. Just thankful Chelsea had a woeful season too, i was 6 points clear of them

    What's the deal with clubs putting players on transfer list (not by request) and then asking for double their value??? Very hard to buy players for decent money in this year's game.

    Also impossible to buy promising youngsters, clubs simply refuse to sell them no matter how much you bid.

    Trick is to get em from south america and other places when they are young i have loads of regens that i got for a few million and sold on for 30+ million.

I messed up the teamtalk just before the away game so I was quite apprehensive about the task at hand. Gateshead had finished second and were definitely stronger on paper.

    What is it with this game and my strikers going through severe dry spells. 3 strikers at the club now without a goal in over 1000 minutes (if not longer) of game time. I have top attacking coaches and focused training on their finishing. Team tactics on Attacking/Set pieces and even send them to reserves just to get goals and revive confidence in their ability (working for one player). It seems to work on my AM's tho, considering all my midfield players are top scorers right now

    Don't send them to the reserves or their star power will drop, just have patience with them.
    Play 1 upfront with one or two Attacking Midfielders playing in behind with the highest creativity for 4 or 5 games & see if that helps.
    Try moving the striker across all 3 central positions during a game so he's harder to mark. It can be tedious but I do it every 10 match minutes approx & it works.
    Don't praise him before, during or after a game no matter what.
    Try to give each striker 3 or 4 games in a row. It should work, then you can try 2 upfront again if ya like...or all 3 if that's your thing.

    Good Morning All,

    Query for you, if you select a player to go to reserve team until match fit, how do you remove them from the reserve squas listing after they have become match fit

    at start of second season, I put half team into reserve squad to get them match fit, unfortunately they seem to stil be playing with the reserves and as result are being overplayed and tired and in need of a rest alot

    Im FM12 you could de list them, as of yet I cannot find a way of doing same on FM13

    Under "Squad" (when you right click the player) go to "Reserve squad until match fit/Reserve squad and deselect the playing time you have assigned to the player

    i tried that but there isnt a deselcet option, it says 45, 60 and 90 mins

    Click where the dots are & that deselects the player.
    You'll have to do it with every player individually.

    Depends on specs. If you know the specs of the computer you want to use the game on that'd be handy.
    To be sure, why not email Sports Interactive directly with the specs & they'll normally reply within 3 days.
    You can easily find their email address on Google.
    Search "sports interactive contact email".

    Meant to say click on the dots to deselect but to beware there are two RSV availability options that might be clicked so beware of that.
    1 is generally available for RSV.
    2 is available until match fit.
    If neither is selected / have dots beside them but RSV remains, you may well have a bug.
    Contact Sports Interactive directly the way I explained it in my previous post, they're normally quick to reply.
    2 or 3 days or so.
    They should be able to assist, although they might be busier this year than when I contacted them last year as this years version is full of issues - good luck.

    Anyone know if we can influence who plays in the Under 18 teams games.
    The youth manager I employ seems to love playing the woefully poor players who will never become any good.
    I've tried moving them to the reserves only to see them get game time there too.
    In last years edition you only had to manage one game pre season then hand over to the youth manager & he'd keep your line up!!
    Anyone help please??

    This game all of a sudden has pissed me off, twice it managed to crash on me yesterday. First the match screen went black, but still functioned correctly until the match was nearly over and it just froze and crashed.. Then during the final of the Community Shield and it goes to penalties but the match is stuck before penalties start and couldnt progress in the match so had to close the game.

    Anyone else got similar probs?

    Anyone notice the amount of sackings in this game?

    I've started a Mansfield save and I'm going into Feb 2015 and everyone of the EPL managers have been replaced at least once since I started, the Football League clubs are fairly happy to wield the axe too.

    I've picked a large datd based and other playable leagues and similar things have happened in La Liga and Ligue 1.

    Dont know if its just me or what.

    Beat a team away from home 1 nil as Ireland manager today (not an easy achievement) & once back to the home screen post match...guess what..my first crash!! Like a demon now, not sure I could be bothered playing on. Especially if I lose the replayed match in a while - sickening!!

    Anyone here have Avira Anti-Virus?
    For some reason, it keeps flagging that the game launch file for FM13 is contaminated and if I don't quarantine it, the game doesnt start. I can turn Avira off and it does start but I dont wanna have to do that all the time

    But YAY for the update, will start a new season I suppose :D

    I gave it a go in the end after & won again. 3 nil this time I think it was.
    Carried on into the season with my club I was managing...was after doing some intense scouting of international youth teams' players to find the next superstar, as well as searching for the best coaching staff out there..didn't save for about 90 minutes of this & guess what....yup, it crashed AGAIN!!
    Lost all the scouting info & staff I attempted to hire.
    My own fault in some ways for not learning my lesson, but the game needs some serious fixing.
    Still has the crossing bug.
    As well as players who just leave the ball go past them from throw ins & crosses with no effort to stop it - sickening!!
    Still can't stop playing the game though ha ha!!

    Started my new career (New patch new career of course :D) playing as Scotland, looks ok they have decent enough players and a very low expectation. Going to apply for club teams as well as I go along see how things go. Fletcher is injured at the start so he will liven up my team, Charlie Adam too.

    dominating England in mine, up to 2026. Foundation was laid by me winning the first 5 titles - and they have dominated with my group of players for rest of it - still most of the players I brought in or had at the time. I moved on to Milan and now Werder Bremen. Plan on going back to the PL one day and knocking them off their fcuking perch...:D

    Ha ha! In 2019 nearly now myself. This game is all over the place. Utd survived in the end by goal difference, as did Everton by one goal. Utd bought Fierro & an Irish regen class winger the following season & came second. Arsenal nearly went down. Madness. Still getting crazy scorelines of 6 - 4 & the likes but the patches seem to have improved the game quite a bit. Players still seem unable to stop simple crosses too but other than that its turned out quite good..

    Anyone else having issues with contract negotiations? No matter what I offer, it seems that not a single negotiation will get completed unless I agree to almost exactly what's asked for first time around. That even goes for kids I'm giving their first pro contract to. Only noticed it lately, so I'm wondering if it's because I have a pretty large pot of money available this season. But whatever the reason, it's doing my head in.

    Actually, yes this has happened to me too. I have a 20 - 20 scout on 30k a week for example. Nearly every good prospect youth I have signed to their second contract as they reach 18 or 19 years old seem to ask for 30k plus. Very annoying alright. I'm currently spending nearly 4m per week on wages ha ha.
