It is interesting, but seen as Turkish already operate a lot of flights into the U.S and Europe, I dont know why?
EI do have a relatively large Airbus shorthaul fleet (well its basically a bulk of 33/34 A320s), so this would explain the commonality with Turkish Airlines large A320 family fleet (with the exception of the engines- IAE V2500 vs CFM56-5b), and of course fit in with Turkish A330-200 fleet, same engines as Aer Lingus A330-200/300 fleet..

Would the IAG group be interested too? Emirates, perhaps?

More than a rumour I think...

....definitely seems a strange mix, perhaps TK are interested in the EI dominant position ex DUB to the USA and the CBP facility?

Come to think of it, that would be the logical reason for the Ethiad interest too.

Yeah interesting indeed, but TK already have some presence in the U.S.A. They fly to all the routes EI fly to except Boston.

Latest rumor Abu Dubai next summer.......I repeat rumour. Code share lark.

I wish they'd sort where folk really want to go though.....3 flights a day some days to Boston and the odd flight a week to MCO. ridiculous stuff....Orlando is stuffed with Irish at the mo and who do they fly with ? Virgin!.....can't get a seat with the green team.
