I cannot find mine anywhere! Would anybody on the southside of Dublin be so nice as to snip my cable/housing to length? :D

Try the bike shop in Ranelagh, just ask him for a loan of it. If he says no, just take one off the shelf and use it. :p

I've resorted to using an (old) pliers and a hammer in the past.

That's the wire cutter part of the pliers, pliers placed on concrete, whacked with hammer. Put the cable outer on first.

Any decent pliers like this does the job.

And then a file to neaten up the ends.

I'm sure I have a not-so-decent one of those around haha. Sure I'll give it a test run and take of a tiny amount before i try it for real.

Ideally as soon as possible as I've to be somewhere around 7ish. When suits yourself?
