Purchasing irons - what should I be looking for?

Haven't played more than 2 rounds of golf in about 8 years. Played extremely regularly when I was a teenager, got down to 6 and stayed there for a good while.

I am completely out of the loop about what is now good in a set if irons. I'm looking to spend about €600, but have no idea what I should be looking for. Can anyone give some advice on this, thanks?

Plenty of good choices for that money, if you're going brand new maybe something like these, about as good as you can get at that money

Nice, I'd be partial to Mizuno. Will pop down and give them a go. Cheers.

You couldn't go wrong with second hand Callaway x-20's or similar either !

If you once played off 6 then you don't want those, these will suit you better.

Used to be off 6 as a teenager, hasnt played in 8 years. Doesnt sound like a man who wants blades or musclebacks, they are beautiful sticks though the 58's

But whatever anyway he can brows around mcguirks and halpenny and will fit into something im sure. If i was to suggest a club that has the best of both worlds and not that difficult to strike well id suggest the Titleist AP2 but theyre a little bit more than the suggest price range
