Another Zelda Remake being considered for the 3DS!

So, whose ready for a Zelda remake?
Zelda remake being considered....

We have seen the footage of the WiiU MM high definition remake, some say it's fake but I say not, could be a goer.
We now have confirmation that another Zelda game may be brought to the 3DS, but they say Majoras Mask or, shockingly, A Link to the Past!

Majoras Mask is an easy convert, given they have the engine and assets right there.
Sure, there's a lot of work but it'd be mighty impressive to look up and see, with the depth the console allows, the Moon leering over you.

However much work it represents pales before LttP however.
We'd be looking at either a straight conversion, with the 16 bit visuals tidied up and some token 3D effects or....
A complete 3D make over, again in the style of the Ocarina make over.
That sounds like a vast amount of work, and I'm not sure how the game would feel, completely altering the POV of the game.
They could go halfsies and make it like GTA:Chinatown Wars, and have you play from a overhead viewpoint but in 3D rendered visuals....

So, what do the fans think?
Leave LttP well enough alone?
Make some new Zelda games instead?
Make Majoras Mask?

How about asking them to consider making other classics for the 3DS?
Super Mario Sunshine?
F-Zero GX?

I would prefer to see an f-zero remake rather than a Zelda one but that's only because I love f-zero and not too bothered about Zelda.

It's definitely a fake man, it was submitted by two dudes who created it themselves

That's definitely how it would be, a straight port with some basic 3d tacked on to give Hyrule some 3d height as it were, rather than a pop out of your screen 3d thing.

A complete 3D make over, again in the style of the Ocarina make over.

But Ocarina 3D was just a more or less straight port, they tweaked some of the textures/lighting & made some smaller changes...but essentially it's the N64's code running.

I wouldn't be opposed to ALTTP being ported in 3d, but if they wanna charge €45/€50 for it they can sing for all I care [though in saying that I'm still sure I'd buy it...damn you Nintendo :mad:]

I think if they left the basic game as is, tweak all the textures, maybe bring the music & sounds up in sample rate, ad 3d to the likes of depth/height etc...I think it'd be pretty nice to play through again. If they did a total remake & changed the perspective etc, that's definitely be a no no for me.

I say port & tweak it like Ocarina, & retail it for €24.99 all the while focusing on a brand new 3DS Zelda adventure...

Hmmm, but you wouldn't say that about True Grit, the remake of, well, True Grit!
Or Little Shop Of Horrors, or, well I'm sure there are plenty of examples in cinema of classic films being remade into something better.
Certainly the opportunity for a wider audience to enjoy Majoras Mask would be great, the Ocarina update changed just enough and easily kept up, in gameplay terms, with what today has to offer.
Majoras Mask, however, might just break young minds with its time bending complexity, or send a few cross-eyed at the very least!

Defiantly would love to see Super Mario Sunshine released as I never had a NGC Could it be done well though?

From what I have heard, Nintendo are definately interested in producing a new Zelda title for the 3DS and it's going to be one of the following 3 games...

1) Majora's Mask port
2) A Link to the Past port
3) A Link to the Past sequel

LTTP wouldn't work in third person imo. The puzzles etc. need the overhead view.

Windwaker with a new dungeon instead of all that fetch-quest filler at the end would be my choice. Could the 3DS handle all that cell-shaded beauty though? The sailing in 3D would be nice though.
