txt from advance

Hi i have 2 cars and i only went to advance pitstop to get a puncture repaired or wheels tracked

I got a txt today from them saying my car is due a nct and give them a call for a pre nct test, i also got previous txt from them saying my brake pads were due to be replaced etc

Now is this common practice or what as i getting sick off these txt as wouldnt let advance service my cars.

Common practice for them. I wouldn't let them touch my car other than the tyres(company account).

Pain in the ass but you can ask them to stop.

Did you tick the box to tell them to NOT allow you to receive marketing texts??

If you did, they are breaking the rules

Tell them to remove your number from their contact list.

I know hate any of those places, except for tyres, dont even like getting tracking done there anymore:eek:,

last time i went there for 2 new tyres and tracking, inbetween all that they said to me my break pads and discs were worn and would need to be replaced, i knew they werent, asked him to show me, and i laughed at him, then he started going on about he meant to say in a few months:o, 3-4,000 miles and they are still on the car, in all fairness discs probably need to be done this time but still.

anyway, got the new tyres and tracking done, grand, got into the car, and the steering wheel was at a 40 degree angle:eek: like WTF:mad:, went back into him and said it and he said to me.... "is it", after he just drove it out off the ramp, like how do you not notice that....

Times before that they said to me wishbones are cracked, track rod ends are worn,............ just do the tyres are leave me alone, please

The sad thing is someone will get that message, who knows nothing about cars, and go in and say i need new brakes, even if they dont need to be done, and they will probably done them no problem:(...
