    Hi,
I need a replacement bolt for my punto. It has steel wheels but finding anywhere that has the seems impossible.
My question is can I use locking nuts on steel rims?
If not can anyone suggest where I can get them?

    Cheers

I'm a little confused by your post. Are you looking for wheel nuts for your punto? Did you try looking in a breakers yard for some off a crashed/scrapped car?

Never even thought of looking in a scrap yard tbh.
Basically I was wondering if the locking nuts are for use only on alloy wheels or can they be used on steel or either?

If you have steel wheels and use alloy bolts, first there is a longer "collar" ie a blank part of the bolt that has no thread to pass through the wheel. The bolt will naturally be longer. Finally, most Fiat alloys use a smaller diameter head (ie a 17mm socket instead of a 19mm socket) with 60 degree taper where steel bolts don't.

Looking for steelie bolts? Why didn't you ask me, I have boxes of them :D

    Hi dgt,

The ones on my Punto are M12 1.25 17mm heads

Do you have some of these?
