I think fresh air too, and if you can, take the carpets out. Depends on the person, but petrol fumes can make you very sick for a few days. Wouldnt be good for the kids alright.

Springle ground coffee onto the place were your spilt the petrol and leave for a while and the oils in the coffee will soak up the remaining petrol.

Another tip is instead of ground coffee is use baking soda and then hoover up after a few hours and job done ;)

take as much fabric out as you can.......petrol gives you very severe headaches....and will make the kids very sick........keep windows open while they are in there...

I'll buy the car. Love that smell!

I was told to use flour on diesel spills before but maybe that was just for roads.

Wonder could I use the coffee as well as the baking soda ants09??? Seems I cant drink the stuff too often these days the smell would be rather appealing as opposed tp petrol:D

Just came across thread, how is the smell now. Have you tried Milton, spray milton onto the area and leave the windows open, also soak an old towel in milton and lay it on the area. It helps to neutralize the smell.
