masking tape

    if i'm masking off the ceiling in a room before painting

    should i remove the tape after the first coat on the walls and re-mask

    or leave it on for 2nd coat

    My missus just uses a 2 inch tapered cut in brush and didnt use any masking tape.

    Steady hand and you will be grand.:)

    Ive always removed it as soon as i can as i find the longer you leave it on the more it sticks and is harder to remove...then re-mask before second coat and again remove it as soon as done
    just my opinion

    thats the way i seen it recommended alright,before the paint dries
    Is cheap masking tape ok?

    I find that if you leave it on until the paint dries, it's inclined to peel some of the paint off with it.
