Dell XPS z14 vs Dell Latitude E6220/E6320

    Hi there,

I currently use a Dell Latitude X1 (12.1 inch screen) which I bought about 5 or 6 years ago. It’s given me no problems to date and I’ve been very happy with it but it is starting to get very slow now.

I’d like your views on buying either a Dell XPS z14 or a Dell Latitude (either E6220 or E6320).

It seems from a bit of research that the Latitude computers would be considered sturdier and longer lasting as they're "business" laptops but some first-hand experience of the XPS would be great.

The laptop will be used solely for work (a lot of Word processing and storing letters/documents etc., a little bit of Excel, email and internet) but I don’t have a very big desk so the laptop needs to be relatively small and light.

Based on the above usage, I’d also appreciate your views on how strong a processor I need (i3, i5 etc.)

If there are any other makes out there that you would recommend, that would be great too.

    Budget – €800 to €1,200.

Intended Use – Word processing, a little bit of Excel, email and internet. That’s it.

Mobility – Quite important. Every now and again, I will be bringing home from work etc. Has to be stored away every night at work.

Warranty – As I need the laptop for work, I’m willing to spend the extra on a 3 year warranty next business day service.

    Operating System – Windows.

    Thanks for your help.

    Bolle

USE A COUPON AND THE FATCHEESE DISCOUNT.

I only found the topic accidentally after buying one this week. Extremely frustrating.

Also, I'm thinking of returning it and getting something else, (instead of returning and rebuying it with discounts...) because multiple people have told me Dell laptops are very unreliable :/
