UPC box not turning on

    got an upgrade the other day to a digi recordable box. the old box used to go to stand by when used for a while(normal op) the new box completely shuts down and wont turn back on unless i unplug the box and plug it back in:confused:

    i can hear the machine doing something but there are no lights on the box at all and pressing any button on the machine or remote does SFA

    any ideas?

    I had the exact same issue. Power definitely getting to the box but no lights on the front, nothing on the TV. Confirmed with Tech Support that the box is faulty.

    Call them up, explain the situation and they should organise a replacement for you.

    The box is very slow to come up so you probably need to be a little more patient.
