    Hello there,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend me a tablet.

It is for my good lady, mainly to be used as entertainment. Watching movies and tv shows from the hard drive.

It doesn't have to have wifi, it would mainly be used offline while she is travelling.

A largeish hard drive would be preferable.

Decent sized screen and resolution a bonus.

Not interested in top spec/speed etc. It really would be just for watching stuff on.

As low priced as possible please. Would consider any make/model.

    Many thanks for your time.

Have a look over on adverts.ie and you can easily pick up a quality second hand Android tablet for €250 or less.

    Few notes:

    1. All tablets worth a salt will have WIFI included in their specs
    2. Get a 16:9 widescreen tablet as that will be ideal for watching movies etc. (For example, the iPad is not a widescreen tab and movies etc suffer massively as a result on it imo.)
    3. Dont get caught up on the internal hard drive size on the tablet. Just make sure it has expandable memory through a sd card slot. (ideally micro-sd). Micro-sd cards are dirt cheap these days and you can get a top quality class 10 32gb micro sd card for about €30 on Amazon.

    Thanks for the info. :-)

I often see mention of devices going for 60 - 100 quid over on the Bargain Alerts forum, are they a false economy in terms of spec and life expectancy?
