Science in which university

I had no idea which forum to put this, in so I apologise if this is incorrect :)

Ok, So I want to study something science based at uni, but I'm not sure which area I'm most interested in. Therefore, i'm thinking of going down the common entry root and then being able to make my decisions when I've had a taste of everything

One problem, there are so many. I'm trying to decide between Trinity, UCD, DCU, UCC, Maynooth, Limerick or Galway?
Which do you think would have the largest choice, good location, halls etc.
    Any help is appreciated

Im the same, I want to do science, common entry at first.

Im stuck between DCU and UCD (Cant go to TCD because i only have 1 science subject and I dropped maths)

UCD lets me pick french as an optional elective which would be great because I really dont want to stop speaking French.

DCU has the INTRA work placement though and also I think class/lecture sizes may be smaller.

Whatever the course I think a big points increase could be on the card :L

Don't talk to me about points increase :o 22% increase in science applicants at Trinity. I'm from Donegal, and I reckon Cork/Limerick wouldn't be for me.
Have you applied to UCAS? I have a biology offer from Queens which I will accept if i get the grades, regardless of my CAO.

It's hard for anyone else to say which would be best, you sort of just have to have a good look at each course/college for yourself and see what you think! I'm hoping to go into common entry science this year myself. For me, I didn't want to stray too far from Dublin, so it was between Trinity, DCU, Maynooth and UCD. UCD is too far from me to really interest me, so I ruled that out fairly soon. The options in DCU seemed to be very chemistry/physics based with not many biology options, which is what I'd be more interested in. Had a tough time deciding between Maynooth and Trinity but went with Trinity for my no. 1 in the end as I liked the course structure more, I liked the way it gets so specialised after 2nd year, it's not as far as Maynooth and I preferred the college. I take it you're in 6th year so it's a bit late to be suggesting college visits/open days which is a shame because I found they really help you get a feel for the place.

For location, i'd say Trinity has the upper hand. The campus is honestly probably one the nicest places to be in in Dublin city centre.

As for the course itself, I know a good few people doing Science (And did half of a science module last year) and from what I can tell it's a very broad course with a lot of options.

It's so hard to tell with the course though. I know I love biology and chemistry because I take them for LC, but I don't do Physics. So how do I know which I want? TCD has a nice broad first year with a lot of module selections. :)
No matter where I go, it's going to be far away and a big change. :L

I was under the impression that Trinity's common entry Science was a lot more open in the first two years than UCD's is. That is, unless the lad from UCD trying to explain it to me made a balls of it, he wasn't a science student..

Also there's the plus of a beautiful campus in the city centre! :)
