Question: Does/Can moving from a cycling position to a walking position cause dizzy spells?

I ask because, in my last 2 outings (and only outings for quite a long time) I've had dizzy spells/nausea, the first time was an early morning cycle on an empty stomach, the dizziness lasted about 10 mins or so and was accompanied by a serious case of blurred vision, I was on my arse at the side of the road for a good 30 minutes before I felt I could go on. Second time was this morning after a bowl full of porridge, just dizziness and nausea, no blurred vision and thankfully it only lasted a couple of minutes. I did feel about as fatigued as I'd ever felt when I got home though.

In both cases, I was pushing quite hard, had to stop a few times but stayed on the bike. But, in both cases I never felt close to getting dizzy or nauseous until I actually got off the bike and walked for 1 or 2 minutes.

So am I crazy to think getting off and walking (coupled with the physical exertion) is what's causing this somehow?
