Channel 5 HD 5.1 sound on upscaled content

does Channel 5 Hd have 5.1 sound for alot of its non hd unscaled content too. I noticed my amp recognizes 5.1 sound for everything i thought they might just use the front channels put there seem to be full 5.1 channels used on alot of programs/movies
