New commercial car/van

    Hi guys,
I'm looking for a new van - it has to be a commercial for tax reasons. I'm driving an 07 Golf 1.9 TDI now. Looking for something:
    - similar size (ie hatchback)
    - a bit quicker (2.0 TDI?)
    - 2 seats is fine
    - 2012 reg

My question is there doesn't seem to be any new Golf vans out there, is there a reason for this? Was hoping to look at a GTD Mk6 but my dealer is not very clear on whether it's possible or not to get this as a commercial.
Looking at what's for sale I'm stuck with big SUVs or something like a Nissan Navara. Too clunky for me!
    Anybody has any suggestions?

The problem with new light commercials here today is that they have to be factory built as a van. No more conversion jobs at the docks like with all the commercial Landcruisers and the like. Some companies are supplying to the market, Toyota and Land Rover spring to mind, but barnd new carvan's aren't as easy to find. Think I have seen a Focus van but not sure about that.

Thanks, I figured as much. I bit of a search turned up these 2 links:

    http://www.ford.ie/CommercialVehicles/KugaVan/Overview

I think these two may be closest to what I'm looking for. Toyota do an Auris van but that's too slow.

Golf will be available as a Commercial very soon (If not already) but only in 1.6TDi Trendline guise. I don't think it would be possible to get it in GTD spec.

You're only real option here is something like a Ford Kuga Commercial. 200 quid VRT, and they're nice to drive and not that slow either.

Well I drove a Kuga over lunch today and it drives surprisingly well, like a much smaller car. Had considered the Jeep Compass for a while there but looking at the various reviews online it drives like a truck.
    Thanks for the tips lads!
