ps3 connection

    i hav a small problem here it is :
    any time i go online on my ps3 nd another family member is on de internet my connection goes really really bad but if im playin online nd no one is on de internet my connection is good please can anyone help

    Only thing that might help a little is if your router has some sort of game mode that can prioritise traffic to the ps3. Who is your Internet provider and what modem/router do you have?

    internet provider is eircom a black modem?

    ok, need a bit more info on the router/modem; model number preferably but brand would be ok as I'm guessing your just using eircoms modem/router combo. Is the ps3 connected to it by a wire or is it using wifi?

    Eircom should be ok for what your trying to do depending on what area u live in; my mate in rush, co. dub has a poor enough eircom connection and himself and his mrs can play and stream simultaneously. Go to www.speedtest.net, run a speed test and let me know what it sez

    im using wifi Ping: 85ms Download Speed: 0.35 mbps Upload Speed: 0.13 mbps

    These are extremely bad stats and is the source of your problems. I'm surprised you can play online at all to be honest. Do you know what connection speed you are paying for with eircom? It would be worth contacting them to see if they can do anything for you. Like I said tho, this depends on where you are in the country and if their infrastructure in your area can deliver higher bandwidth. Sorry can't help more.
