Seroquel

    Hi All,

I feel compelled to start this thread here on this drug, Seroquel, due to my current personal situation.

I've been prescribed Seroquel for a non bipolar / non Schizophrenic condition - (3 X 25mg per day - for the past 10 days).

Without getting into too much detail, the goal and context of my prescription was

"to help me sleep and relax - it was a better drug than various Benzo's, as it's not addictive like they are"

and as a caveat, my GP said :

"Don't worry about the fact that it says it's only for Bipolar / Schizophrenia, that's fine, we use this all the time".

Has anyone else got experience in being prescribed Seroquel for conditions other than those documented inside the Seroquel leaflet itself - ie Bipolar Types I or II / Schizophrenia ?

How did that all work out for you - are you still on it ? Did you complete a course ?

    Best Wishes,

    Al.

    Hey Crimson125,

We cannot advise you regarding prescribed medications - if you have any questions you should run them past your GP or ask another qualified person for a second opinion.

    All the best.
