    Hi i just want to find out how to play a .avi file ?

    Double click it & it will open by whatever programme is the default . Usually Media Player or Media Center.

    What OS are you running if it is windows it should play via WMP if not try VLC http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

    Vlc media player is free and plays anything I throw at it.

    Im sure theres better quality available but I havent needed to find it yet.

    Well vlc isnt working on all of the files :/

    Then the files are probably corrupt.
