    Hi all,
Ive aplied to to fetac level 5 courses in both St Johns Central College Cork and Bray Institute of Further Education.
Both are animal care courses and i have a view of going on to AIT or UCD to do Veterinary Nursing.

Im at a loss as to how credit values work, and how do i know how many credits a module is worth????

Also which course would be of a higher standard/ most recognised??

ANY help at all would be really appreciated :)

The second link there gives an example of a certificate and how it is broken down. You do not get to choose modules, and the ones on the course have to add up to 120 so it does not matter where you do the course.

However some fetac providers have a special relationship with specific 3rd level colleges and the colleges keep a certain number of spaces for students from that provider. This is usually because the modules on the fetac course relate closely to the 3rd level course. You need to make sure that the 3rd level accepts fetac, which certificate it requires, and then see if it has a specific relationship with any particular fetac provider.
