some deposits suild up on my engine, whts that now ?

    Hi folks, Toyota avensis, mk1, 1.8 petrol, normal engine (non vvti) lean burn one, '98, i noticed, that some black deposits building up on engine, and more around injectors. is that injector seals leaking or something else ? it is black and very sticky ... like glue, hard get off hands. pictures attached.

    Yeah your photos dont look like anything more than ordinary dirt stuck to grease. It is a combustion engine you know, not a squeaky clean EV.. :P

    ok MAtt Simis, agree, thats petrol engine, but it shouldnt make any dirt from inside.

    suspicious dirt on injectors. it not looks good to me. i had number cars before, never seen such thing. would somebody confirm, that injector seals blown, or there is something else to look at ?
