I know this has been asked many times but I'm not sure what box would cover everything if possible.
I'm looking for a box to replace a sky+ box now that I've cancelled sky.
It would need to tune saorview and freesat hd, record, have 2 sat feeds like sky + etc, basically similar to the sky box
as possible with the saorview. I've been looking on Vanjak website where's there's a large selection of boxes but not sure which would suit best, hope all makes sense and thanks in advance.

Don't know if you'll get a receiver to meet all your requirements but a combi Saorview/FTA satellite receiver may be an option

Would prefer freesat over FTA, is there tuners that do both freesat and saorview?

I was in same position as you about a year ago.
I decided the simplest option was a Humax HDR Freesat box in sitting room as the tv had Saorview built in. In second room installed a cheaper Free to Air receiver and a separate Saorview box and set it up so my other half can use it ok.
I had to fit my own dish with a quad LNB and also installed a Saorview aerial feeding 3 tv's.

All works fine and am happy with result.

Just be aware that you will NOT receive any Sky pay channels, Sports, Discovery, Atlantic etc etc.

I have since fitted 3 more LNB's for other satellites, but that is another story.

Decide what you want, see www.freesat.co.uk, research receivers and try Amazon, e-bay or any other suppliers for best price.

It will cost at start, but is free from then on and one less monthly bill...........
