Computer Not Reading My Memory Stick! Please Help!!

    Hi!

I have a slight computer problem. My computer is not reading my memory stick, it always has, up until last weekend. I'm just wondering why it is not recognising it, but the device is installed on the computer and says its ready to use. It recognises my Blackberry.
The CPU was opened, and the RAM card was taken out- to see its details, and was put back in. Just wondering, did opening the CPU disturb everything on my computer?
Is there anything I could do to make it read the memory stick?
    Can anyone help?!

Its operating system is Windows Vista.

With no other USB drives inserted, open up command prompt and type in "diskpart" (without the quotation marks). It'll request Admin permission, click yes. Then, when you get the prompt "DISKPART>", type in "list disk" , see if your USB drive appears in the list of drives.

I just tried it. It shows up nothing, unfortunately.

Nothing, as in it just shows your computer's hard drive?

Diskpart doesn't show flash drives on my system only my SATA hard drives.
