Beaches near Kenmare

    `Hi,

    We are going to Kenmare for a week on saturday and was just wondering how far it is to the nearest sandy beach?Not that i will be going with this weather!

    The nicest I have found are in and near Castlecove, not far from Sneem. Beautiful sandy beaches; quiet and the views en route are stunning => you'll want to return time and again :)

    the white strand near castlecove beyond sneem is a good beach has parking too

    oops ! there is also Carrols cove another 15mins drive along the coast from that but there are lots of caravans near it and derrynane beach too turn left at Caherdaniel and drive as far as the slip in derrynane harbour the swiming beach is on your left again a lovely place.

    Thanks guys. We ended up in carrols cove after,a lovely area we went in to the restaurant for something to eat it was lovely out sun was shinning and when we were finished brought the kids down to the beach and it started raining, typical!!
