I just got an email from ICS(Irish computer Society) with some membership offer, I signed up as a student years ago and they must still have my details, anyway never heard anything from them after that until now.

Can anyone say weather it is worth it or not to become a member? or anything about the benifits of membership?

Looking for something a little more benifitial then some silly line on my cv stating ICS membership to get me to sign up and pay the fee.

Well, membership entitles you to put MICS after your name and other benefits include erm....um.....

I'm a member of both ICS and the British Computer Society (BCS). There's a lot more happening in the BCS in terms of specialised groups for various industry sectors and they also have a Belfast branch.
