My brother was telling me when he was in our local dealers last week he picked up a bipod while he was chatting to him and asked him how much was he for the harris swivel. He said back to him it wasn't a Harris and it was 50euro. My brother compaired it to his harris and wasn't abit of diffence in any way. Same quality and performed exactly the same as his harris. He forgets what make the dealer said it was. Harris swivel bipods start from £60 in the UK but most dealers want 120euro for them here

I had two harris copies and two harris's, one copy is very light and flimsy but it does for my .22 the other was a shooters ridge rockmount swivel that i bought online for about 50 and it was very good but i'd pick the harris over it any day, it just has a few touches that make it better, stronger springs and also the little knob for adjusting the tension of the swivel keeps loosening which is really annoying unlike with the harris where you can set it at whatever stiffness you want and it will stay like that.

I agree with ormondprop. I had a rockmount bipod for a few years and it was alright but when i eventually shelled out for a harris it was money well spent, none of the problems with i had before with legs loosening and just feels a much better quality and solid bipod.

The proper harris bipods are expensive but their worth it compared to the copys (cant say anytin about the deben bipods as ive no experience of them but ive heard their alright)

Think my local in wicklow is €125 or 130 for the harris 9-13 swivel

Totally agree with 4200fps here, I picked up my first bipod, Harris 1a2-h some 10 years ago at a game fair for £90 ish stg, just recently picked up both a 6-9 and a 9-15 for less than €60 - considering i've spent $100 + shipping on front benchrest bags, its madness paying Harris money unless you need plus 20" stability the clone versions are just as good and a tad lighter :)

I had one of the copies but brought it back to the dealer and swapped it for a Harris 9 13 swivel as the copy when the legs came out made a noise that would wake the dead not to mind scaring every deer for miles around

Having been in many factories in the Far East on business buying stock
i happened to be in the factory that produce Bipods and a lot more rifle accesories and low and behold they were producing Bipods on the same line for various suppliers Harris being one of them
all bipods exact same so you are paying for a name simple fact

The Blackhawk are better then the Harris I know because I compared both on xchrisshana's rifle. They are well worth the money & should take any punishment Ireland has to offer. The sturdiest bipods I have seen to date.
