I'm looking for suggestions on which is the best /most economic fertiliser to spread. I know it depends, so I'll try to answer some questions up front...
    My situation is as follows:
    - Old pasture that is a bit weedy - almost all of it has either been topped or cur for silage in the last 2 weeks (needs to be reseeded, but thats for another day...).
    - Ths silage ground got some 10.10.20 back in April. The grazing ground got nothing.
    - Haven't done any soil tests (something I need to do .....)
    - I don't have any access to slurry

I need to boost growth to keep my few cattle thriving and I also need to get lined up for a few more bales of silage.

    Any recommendations?
    Thanks.

the ground that got 10.10.20 should ok with 27%CAN

on the rest I would using 27 .2.5 5 or maybe slightly higher P if cutting for silage .ie 24 2.5 10

soil test could save you a lot of money especially if you need lime

Some of our Our grazing ground has no access for slurry or dung so a bit like your own.
In the spring we spread 2 bags of lime and 2 bags 18:6:12 to the acre and were getting great results. Not sure if it's too late for the 18:6:12 now and it's not the cheapest either.
