Microsoft Excel Help with a population pyramid graph

    Hi, I was hoping someone would have experience of creating a population pyramid similar to below in excel.

    I can create the pyramid but adding the lines for a different population is wrecking my head.

    in excel 2007

    side ways bar chart, shrink
    delete all unnecessary labels etc
    format the data series and overlap by 91% and width 95%
    trendline also added

    basic version attached

    use davidoc's method - but have the table with the other two lines separate,
    add new data series (use negative x values for the LHS of the charts)
    use secondary axis
    if necessary right click the series (e.g. if it's gone in as a bar chart) and "change data series chart type"
    don't have time to polish the attached file
